I was a little sore from my 6er on Saturday but felt ok. It was very cold, around 16F, with a slight breeze. Sidewalks and prairie path were a little treacherous with ice and blown snow. Gotta above my ankles a couple of steps.

All in all a nice run, sun was setting into a clear sky. I love it when the snow has that orange glow. It looks like we are going to drop even colder the next 7-10 days, so running will be sporadic.

I have been slowly working my way back to 6 miles runs. Today I completed my first six miler since the summer. I am close to getting in 20 miles a week which would be great for the rest of the winter. It looks like we are going to have at least a week of below 20f weather. I am sure there will be several days where it will be just too cold to run. I normally stay inside when it gets around 10-15F depending on the wind chill.

Todays run was a steady 6 miles on mostly snow/ice covered prairie path. Temp was around 30F. Shins were a little sore, but not too bad.

I am going to start logging my runs here, much easier than using a "diary".

1/22/06 3 mile loop on IPP/national. 30F, a few inches of snow made it little hard, plus it was just after dark. Legs felt good after 5 miler on Saturday.
